Khalid a role model Muslim leader for
Malaysians

SELANGOR
Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim is another role model of an honest and sincere
Malay leader for Malaysians.
We
should all be proud to have such a forward minded Muslim leader, just like
Anwar Ibrahim.
Within
a term in office, Khalid has shown what a competent and sincere Pakatan Rakyat (PR)
state government can deliver.
The
state’s reserves rose from RM400 million in 2008 to RM2.5 billion today.
This
can only be achieved through prudent spending, not plundering the state and
country’s wealth like what the Barisan Nasional (BN) governments have been
doing the past 55 years.
That
is why Selangor is able to provide free water to all households in Selangor for
the first 20cu/ml of water, financial aid to the needy via various rakyat-centric measures, especially the
aged and women.
PR
leaders like Khalid are able to deliver peace and security to the rakyat in Selangor because they are
honest and sincere, unlike Mahathir Mohamad, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib
Abdul Razak.
There
are many financial scandals to back this and the three I wish to mention are:
Ø THE RM7.6
billion armoured vehicle purchase contracted to Syed Mokhtar Albukhary’s DRB
Hicom for Malaysian-designed and made defence vehicles. Instead, the vehicles
were then ordered from Turkey at a cost of only RM1.6 billion! RM6 billion
pocketed without a drop of sweat;
Ø THE purchase of
18 Sukhoi fighter jets at RM3.2 billion; and
Ø THE RM6.7
billion purchase of two second-hand French-made Scorpene submarines.
Chua … BN-Umno has evolved into a rotten
political organisation championing cronyism, nepotism and corruption.
The
recent Penang BN Chinese New Year Open House in Han Chiang High School is
another example of BN’s extravagance that brings no real benefit to the rakyat.
How
has the rakyat benefitted from Psy’s
US$2 million (RM6 million) seven-minute Gangnam galloping dance?
It
only shamed Najib with three roars of “No!” nationally and internationally. It
also exposed Najib as an incompetent and not so bright leader when he continued
to ask whether Penangites were ready for BN, even after the first “No”.
At
least Malaysians and Malaysia would have benefitted if local artistes were
engaged for a fraction of the RM6 million.
PR
leaders are God-fearing and so our target is to provide good governance.
BN-Umno
has evolved into a rotten political organisation championing cronyism, nepotism
and corruption.
BN-Umno
does not subscribe to Kita Hamba Rakyat,
Jangan Kita Sombong (We are Slaves Of The People, Don’t Be Arrogant).
That
is PR principles of power and governance.
