JOHOR BARU (Jan 19, 2013): Malaysian youths can lead the way to a prosperous and successful future for Malaysia.
“There are many who will be casting their votes for the first time in the coming general election. Their votes count,” Johor PKR chairman Chua Jui Meng said.
Speaking at the Johor Wushu, Dragon and Lion Dance Association annual Chinese New Year Dinner here tonight, Chua said: “Our many dynamic youths are our future leaders. They can influence the outcome of the 13th General Election and determine the success of the rakyat and country.
Chua … Malaysian youths can lead Malaysia to success.

“Just like the two Johor Kung Fu Xanda exponents who brought back gold and bronze medals for Malaysia at the Asian University Games in Laos.
“They achieved international success through their own determination and resilience.”
Chua , who is also PKR vice-president, said the granting of blue identity cards by the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to foreigners for votes was downright cheating.
“The only way to stop BN is for the rakyat to rise. Peoples’ Power has seen many regimes fall in other countries.
“We need the same power to down BN in the 13th General Election. It’s the youths who can help make the difference and save Malaysia from the cheating BN. Can you give us your 100% support?” he said to a round of applause from the diners.
Chua said it was crucial for the country’s socio-economic well-being that Malaysians discharge their duty as responsible citizens by participating in general elections.
“Make it a turnout of at least 90% in the coming national polls to help decide the next state and federal governments of your choice.
“The future of the rakyat and country is in the ballots that you cast,” he added.
