SEGAMAT (May 1, 2013): It’s going to be a long day and night-long campaign trail for Johor PKR chairman Chua Jui Meng today.
Chua kicked off the trail with a Labour Day three-hour-long motorcade in Buloh Kasap, focusing on the interiors of the Malay heartland and areas populated by the Indian majority.
The motorcade of about 50 riders comprised supporters from PKR and PAS. The PAS candidate for PAS in Buloh Kasap is lawyer Firdaus Masod.
Chua is then scheduled to join the National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) picket against S. Subramaniam, the caretaker Human Resources Minister defending Barisan Nasional (BN)’s Segamat parliamentary seat at 5pm.
Chua will also be delivering two ceramah in Tebrau and Johor Baru this evening. The Johor Baru ceramah will feature Pakatan Rakyat (PR) de facto leader Anwar Inrahim.

Yesterday, Chua, who is also a PKR vice-president, continued with his sixth consecutive day of walking the interiors of the Malay heartland in Buloh Kasap..
He spent six hours walking from house to house to greet Malay voters.
After the gruelling campaign train in the severe afternoon heat, Chua returned to his main Operations Centre in Bandar Utama for meetings.
He then took a trip down memory lane at 6pm, visiting Segamat Hospital. The hospital was opened during Chua tenure as Health Minister.
